Major Fun

I remember Akihabara. 23 years ago, when I, the designer of Mind Toys and author of an article called "Technolust," was invited by Nicograph to share my dubious, though in deed copious predictions. Bargain-hunting, and trash-hunting (the latter proving far more successful). I remember how expense everything was and how lavish our accommodations and entertainment (we meet the real Godzilla) and how the subways were so clean, efficient, and easy to get lost in, and how you could find these very thick and often surprisingly frank comic books everywhere, thrown away, left behind.

Back then, though, I don't think toilets were that impressive. I have the image of a pair of corrugated footprints and a hole in the ground.
